1st-2nd Grade Book Club

Group 2

Join Miss Stephanie and friends to discuss our book and play games. Once registered, be sure to pick up your book at the Northwest Branch Library. Group 2 meets on a Thursday each month at 3:30pm.

Space is limited. If you did not attend last month’s book club meeting, registration is required. If spots are available, they open after the previous month's meeting has ended.

Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at the Northwest Branch Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.

We will be reading Ranger Rick: I Wish I Was a Lion by Sandra Markle. "Ranger Rick explorers can learn all about lions in this reader full of fascinating facts, vivid wildlife photographs, a Wild Words glossary, and a hands-on activity about practicing your lion-quick reflexes!"

Please register using your child’s name. 

A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
