Read to a therapy animal to practice your reading skills!
Is your child struggling with reading? Do they need a safe and cozy place to practice? Do they like animals?
Sign up for a reading session with a therapy animal at the library! Every month, a BARK or Pet Partners therapy dog (or bunny) will visit the library to provide support and encourage practicing reading skills. Reading to a therapy dog is a proven strategy that helps kids build up their reading confidence with a calm listener. You can sign up for a time slot starting the week before the meeting here. Our PAWS visits will be on every first and third Saturday from 3-4pm in the Buena Vista Branch Library Story Time Room.
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
