Punishment Vs. Discipline

Join certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator Hannah Stubblefield for an informative and supportive parenting workshop for caregivers of young children ages 2 - 5.

Caregivers of children ages 2 - 5 are welcome to join us at the Library for a free parenting workshop led by certified Positive Discipline Instructor, Hannah Stubblefield. This afternoon's topic covers tips on how to use discipline that is both kind *and* firm instead of punishment. All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of a Positive Discipline parenting book.

Positive Discipline is the parenting approach based on the work of Alfred Adler. The basic principles include:

• Helping children feel a sense of belonging and significance
• Being respectful and kind while setting firm boundaries
• Focusing on long-term goals
• Modeling valuable social and life skills
• Inviting children to discover how capable and resilient they are

Pre-registration for this workshop is encouraged.
