Learn how to record a song from Grammy Award-winning recording engineer and mixer, Be Hussey.

In this two day class, music professional Be Hussey will demonstrate how to record a song using the Library's new sound booth and a digital audio workstation from the Spark! Digital Media Lab. 

Day 1: Setup & Recording

  • Setting up your studio
  • Recording drums and keyboards using midi
  • Recording acoustic instruments and voice

Day 2: Editing and Mixing

  • Editing your performance
  • Using Plug-ins
  • Mixing and Mastering

Access to the Spark! Lab is for adults and students in grade 6 and higher with a library card in good standing.

Registration signs you up for both sessions.

About the branch

The Burbank Central Library is located at the corner of Glenoaks Boulevard and Olive Avenue in downtown Burbank. It is a two-story building with elevator access.
