Space is limited. If you did not attend last month’s book club meeting, registration is required. If spots are available, they open after the previous month's meeting has ended. Please register using your child’s name.

Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at the Northwest Branch Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.

We will be reading Geraldine Pu and Her Cat Hat, Too! by Maggie P. Chang. "Geraldine Pu loves her cat hat, Mao Maotz. If only she felt the same way about her own hair! Then she finds out that picture day is happening at school, and there’s a strict no hats rule. Will Geraldine learn to love her hair and her unique style?"

A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
