Calling all aspiring tailor tweens in grades 4-7! Join us for a hand sewing class series on Thursday afternoons from 2/27-3/20. Each week, participants will learn the basics of patterns, sewing and detailing through creating their own stuffed animal. All skill levels are welcome, and materials will be provided.
There are many benefits to stitching and hand sewing for kids and teens. Practicing these skills improves hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration and building patience. Learning how to sew is also a useful lifelong skill.
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
