Tween Scene: Suminagashi

For Grades 4 - 7

Learn the brief history of suminagashi, or "floating ink," then practice creating your own vibrant artwork!

Suminagashi is the Japanese art form of marbling paper with water and ink. We will quickly learn about its history and watch an example. Then you will get a chance to create your own!

Why Tweens? We get it - it's a tough age! Too big for the little kid programs, not old enough for the teen programs. These special Tween Scene programs give those inbetweeners a place of their own where they can be themselves with other kids their age.
