Have you ever dreamt of writing the great American novel? After a thirty-year career in Southern California law enforcement, David Keith sat down and wrote his first novel following an incident involving an eighteen-wheeler truck on the interstate! Five more books followed, and David has now made the successful transition to author, enjoying a very loyal fan base. In his presentation to the Friends of the Burbank Public Library, he’ll share his insights into the writing process, how he comes up with his story lines, and how he got his books published.
David spent eighteen years as the police spokesman for the Oxnard Police Department, giving him a front row seat to many sensational and egregious crimes. Come learn about how his career shaped his thinking and ultimately gave him a unique perspective for his books. David publicly handled high profile cases, including more than 200 homicides. Additionally, he has produced and hosted more than 1,200 television programs and given more than 3,000 presentations to community groups, book clubs, and libraries - both about his law enforcement career as well as his writing career.
David Keith lives in Arizona with his wife Giselle. He is busy at work on his seventh novel.
