Learn how to record a song from Grammy Award-winning recording engineer and mixer, Be Hussey.

In this two-day class, music professional Be Hussey will demonstrate how to record a song using the Library's new sound booth and a digital audio workstation from the Spark! Digital Media Lab. 

Registration signs you up for both sessions.

Day 1: Setup & Recording

  • Setting up your studio
  • Recording drums and keyboards using midi
  • Recording acoustic instruments and voice

Day 2: Editing and Mixing

  • Editing your performance
  • Using Plug-ins
  • Mixing and Mastering

Access to the Spark! Lab is for adults and students in grade 6 and higher with a library card in good standing.
