3rd Grade Book Club

Join Miss Kristine and friends to discuss our book and play games. Once you are registered, be sure to pick up your book at Burbank Central Library.

Space is limited. If you did not attend last month’s book club meeting, registration is required. If spots are available, they open after the previous month's meeting has ended.

Please register using your child’s name. Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at Burbank Central Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.

We will be reading Puzzlooies: Mysteries at Mallard Mansion by Russell Ginns. Renowned private eye Detective Stanley Dench is hired by world-famous movie star Marvin Mallard to find his missing award. When the detective arrives at Marvin’s mansion, he discovers the star has become a dead duck! Why would anyone murder Marvin, and who is responsible for this feather-ruffling crime?

Solve the puzzles inside and quack the case with Detective Dench!

A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
