Join us for this holiday season screening of the beloved classic "Mary Poppins" in preparation for our December 18 book talk on the "Making of Mary Poppins."
Join us this holiday season for a screening of the beloved Disney musical film Mary Poppins. Attend the screening as a stand-alone event or watch it in preparation for our book talk on the following Thursday evening, December 18, on the Making of Mary Poppins with Disney History Institute scholar and author Todd James Pierce. This might be a wonderful chance to introduce your children (or dare we say, grandchildren?) to the film you loved as a child. For some of you, this is a chance to see for the first time a classic you missed!
The Friends of the Burbank Library will give out a free children's book and Mary Poppins bookmark to all young attendees after the movie screening! Registration is recommended for this event, and also for the book talk, The Making of Mary Poppins, the following week if you plan to attend.
Rated PG | 1964 | 2h 9m | Live-action/Animated Hybrid Musical/Fantasy/Comedy. The movie will be shown with closed-captions.
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
