Ever wondered what a violin sounds like? Are you thinking about learning to play a musical instrument? Discover the joy of making music at our Instrument Petting Zoo with the Salit Foundation! This hands-on, drop-in program invites participants to explore a variety of musical instruments up close. Library visitors can touch, hold, and try out instruments with guidance from knowledgeable staff. Perfect for families, aspiring young musicians, and anyone who wants to learn more about musical instruments.
The Salit Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enriching lives through classical music. They strive to inspire imagination and creativity in youth, foster musical talent, and cultivate the noblest aspirations of the human spirit. Committed to lifelong artistic growth, they provide opportunities for musicians at all stages, from aspiring young artists to seasoned performers. The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
