Paws for Reading

Read to a therapy dog to practice your reading skills!

Is your child struggling with reading? Do they need a safe and cozy place to practice? Do they like dogs?
 
Sign up for a reading session with a therapy dog at the library! Every month, a BARK or Pet Partners therapy dog will visit the library to provide support and encourage practicing reading skills. Reading to a therapy dog is a proven strategy that helps kids build up their reading confidence with a calm listener. You can register for a time slot a week before the program.
