1st-2nd Grade Book Club
Tuesday, May 12
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Join Mr. Kevin and friends to discuss our book and play games. Once registered, be sure to pick up your book at Northwest Branch Library. This group meets on a Tuesday each month at 4:00pm.
Please register using your child’s name. Space is limited. If you did not attend last month’s book club meeting, registration is required. If spots are available, they open after the previous month's meeting has ended.
Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at Northwest Branch Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.
We will be reading Tater Tales: The Greatest in the World! by Ben Clanton. Rot is a mutant potato who wakes up feeling great, maybe even…the greatest in the world! But that only makes Rot’s brother Snot the grumpiest in the world. The only solution? An epic contest to prove who is the greatest once and for all, judged by the only impartial party they can find—their small fry little sister, Tot.
A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
Northwest Branch Library
