Adult coloring is a great way to relax, encourage mindfulness, and spark creativity - plus, it provides a calm environment in which to explore emergency preparedness tips in a low-stress setting.
Color Me Ready is a program geared toward adults who want to learn disaster readiness skills and coping techniques in a calming environment. Drop in and join us as we learn some emergency preparedness tips and meditation techniques to help keep calm during a crisis while you relax, color, and meet new people.
All supplies provided. Join us in the Community Room at Buena Vista Public Library.
The first 50 attendees to arrive will get a free emergency light stick. Three lucky winners of our opportunity drawing will win a 3-day survival kit!
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Learn how to create a survival plan for ANY disaster. Get information on creating an emergency supply kit and how to protect yourself and others during an emergency.
MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION TIPS
Enjoy a short meditation and learn ways to keep calm and care for others during a disaster.
COLOR ME CALM
Enjoy music and light refreshments while you color, relax and refocus your thoughts.
Coloring has the ability to regulate the fear center of your brain which improves your ability to problem solve and cope with difficult situations
Buena Vista Branch Library
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
