1st-2nd Grade Book Club

Join Mr. Kevin and friends to discuss our book plus crafts or games. Once registered, be sure to pick up your book at Northwest Branch Library. This group meets on a Tuesday each month at 4:00pm.

Please register using your child’s name. Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at Northwest Branch Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.

We will be reading Tiny Tales: Shell Quest by Steph Waldo. One day, a little slug spots two critters in the backyard who look just like her… except they have shells! Gasp! Slug thinks she needs a shell of her own to fit in, but finding one is a lot harder than it sounds.

A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
