Playing with Cars: Tape Town!

Tape Town is a large-scale imaginative play experience where Central’s Auditorium transforms into an interactive “town” made of painter’s tape.

If your child loves cars, trucks, emergency vehicles, zooming, vrooming, building, or creating — this town is for them! Bring a favorite small toy car or borrow one of ours. Children can drive through the taped roadways and families can add new structures or enhancements anywhere in the town.

Drop in anytime between 10am–2pm. Recommended for ages 2–6, but all kids and their families are welcome! Perfect for playdates, family time, and sibling hangouts.

Open‑ended, cooperative play supports social–emotional engagement, early engineering concepts, and spatial problem solving. Building within the town sparks imagination, while vehicle play promotes real‑world connections and develops motor skills. This hands-on, design‑and‑build experience also supports STEAM learning by giving children space to experiment, plan, and problem‑solve through play.
