Take a virtual field trip through the universe in an indoor inflatable planetarium!
Students in grades K-5 will take a 45-minute journey through the universe from the comfort and security of a portable, inflatable planetarium in our Library!
Inside the dome you'll be introduced to a "star filled" sky and our navigator, with the use of a digital planetarium projector, will guide us through the stars of the Northern Hemisphere exactly as they will appear in the night sky that evening.
Learn how to identify every planet in our solar system in dramatic "flights" towards each world. Be introduced to Greek mythological characters and see how these heroes of the past can be found in the stars. Witness the night sky in different seasons and from different global perspectives. You won't want to miss this unique experience!
Please note: This program is for students in grades K-5. Lighting inside the dome can be extremely dark, and the academic content of the presentation is best suited for school age students.
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
