For Kids in Grades K-5 and their families

Make your own snowy winter scene with woodland animals!

Join Miss Jenny for a "chilly" morning and learn all about woodland animals and what they do in the winter. After we share some books for inspiration you will make your very own winter scene diorama! Combine your creativity with your new scientific knowledge about woodland animals and build a snowy landscape, complete with hibernating animals, trees, and other natural elements. We will provide all of the materials you need - just bring your creativity!

Diorama building, or model building, nurtures a child's dexterity, as well as other cognitive skills such as planning, problem solving, and logical thinking. These mini worlds allow builders to create, explore, and manipulate the characters and landscapes that were once just imaginative ideas in their minds.
