Back by popular demand! Our Artist in Residence program returns for a February homeschoolers session! Learn about the life of artist Alma Thomas and what inspired her to create her works of art. Then re-create her art but with your own twist!
We will be reading Ablaze with Color: A Story of Painter Alma Thomas by Jeanne Walker Harvey. Then we will try out painting masterpiece of our own. Dress for a mess!

Engaging in arts activities can improve a child’s fine motor skills and enhance their creative problem-solving abilities. Activities like cutting, gluing, painting, and drawing can help children develop better coordination and dexterity while creating three dimensional objects can improve visual-spatial skills.
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
