Join us for an evening of café drinks, snacks, and conversation about the creative industry! Our guests for July are stand-up comedians Shilpa Das and Meredith Hackman! If you like to laugh and make people laugh, this is the event for you. 

Learn more about how Shilpa and Meredith got started in comedy, ask them any questions you have about comedy writing and stand-up comedy, and try out some fun improv games together! 

Shilpa Das is a comedian, writer, and producer based in Los Angeles. She is the host/producer of the South Asian AF show, LA's largest South Asian variety comedy show. Shilpa has studied improv, musical improv and sketch comedy for several years at UCB where she is a frequent performer. She can also be seen doing stand-up around town and has performed at The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory and Flappers.

Meredith Hackman is a comedian, writer, and voice over artist, known for When Nature Calls (ABC) and George Washington: DTF (Comedy Central digital). She has written and produced numerous plays, been a contributor to Reductress and Widget, and performed stand-up, improv, and sketch comedy across New York, Los Angeles, and London. As a sib in the disabled community, she aims to increase representation for people with disabilities in her work. Her script Watch Me, a comedy pilot about disability and sisterhood, was featured on The Black List Top List and as an Austin Second Rounder in 2022.
