An afternoon with two of the hardest-working writers in Los Angeles.
Join us on Saturday, September 21st at 2 PM for a discussion about craft and publishing with local artists/authors Marcy and Bryan Mahoney.
Marcy Dewey Mahoney writes the fantastical and the spooky with a hint of funny. An Ithaca College and animation industry alum, Marcy is the author of the novel Archwilde. Her work has been published in several fiction anthologies, and she has also penned a series of creative writing prompt journals. She lives in Toluca Lake with her husband/best nerd Bryan, and their two cats, Fergus Hammertime and Fiona Shazam.
Bryan Mahoney was a columnist for the Burbank Leader and is a former journalist. He is now focusing on short and long fiction, including a mystery series and an Irish novel. His short stories Buyer's Remorse, Soul Cell and Veterans Days were published in three NaNo Los Angeles Anthologies: 2016's 'Meet The Systems," 2020's "Songs in the Key of Sunset," and 2021's "Engineering Chaos." His story Beyond the Brambles appears in "Dead Keys: Typewritten Tales of Terror." His first book, "Lost Poetry of Los Angeles, 2011-2023," was release last year.
The Buena Vista Branch Library is located on Buena Vista Street near Olive Avenue in Burbank’s Media District. It is a one-story building.
