Positive Discipline Parenting Workshop

Empathy & Social Skills

Join certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator Hannah Stubblefield for an informative and supportive parenting workshop for caregivers of young children ages 2 - 5.

Caregivers of children ages 2 - 5 are welcome to join us at the Library for a free parenting workshop led by certified Positive Discipline Instructor, Hannah Stubblefield. This afternoon's topic covers tips on how to encourage empathy and build social skills in young children.

Positive Discipline is the parenting approach based on the work of Alfred Adler. The basic principles include:

  • Helping children feel a sense of belonging and significance
  • Being respectful and kind while setting firm boundaries
  • Focusing on long-term goals
  • Modeling valuable social and life skills
  • Inviting children to discover how capable and resilient they are

Pre-registration for this workshop is encouraged.
