Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at Northwest Branch Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.
We will be reading Crab & Snail: The Tidal Pool of Cool by Beth Ferry. Starfish is pointy-perfect, so wow to the wow! And her tidal pool is filled with friends and fun things. But Crab and Snail weren’t invited. While the best beach friends do everything they can to catch Starfish’s attention and score an invite, they begin to realize that being kind just might be the coolest of cool.
A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
The Northwest Branch Library is located on Victory Boulevard near Hollywood Way, not far from the Hollywood Burbank Airport. It is a one-story building.
