Join Pedro the Penguin as he learns all about earthquake safety!

Pedro the Penguin is learning how to be ready and stay safe during an earthquake, and he wants you to be prepared, too! Children grades K-2 will listen to a read aloud story about Pedro as he finds out what an earthquake is and what to do before, during, and after. Practicing safety drills and coping skills, kids will gain the confidence needed to handle this emergency. Plus, they get to take home their very own copy of the storybook which includes a family safety checklist so everyone will be able to review what to do and prepare together!

Presented by the American Red Cross in both English and Spanish.

Pedro el Pingüino está aprendiendo a prepararse y mantenerse seguro durante un terremoto, ¡y quiere que tú también lo estés! Los niños de kínder a segundo grado disfrutarán de un cuento leído en voz alta sobre Pedro, mientras descubre qué es un terremoto y qué hacer antes, durante y después. Al practicar simulacros de seguridad y estrategias de afrontamiento, los pequeños ganarán la confianza necesaria para enfrentar esta emergencia. Además, cada niño podrá llevarse a casa su propio ejemplar del cuento, que incluye una lista de verificación de seguridad familiar para que todos puedan repasar y prepararse juntos.
