1st-2nd Grade Book Club
Tuesday, October 13
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Join Mr. Kevin and friends to discuss our book and play games. Once registered, be sure to pick up your book at Northwest Branch Library. This group meets on a Tuesday each month at 4:00pm.
Please register using your child’s name. Space is limited. If you did not attend last month’s book club meeting, registration is required. If spots are available, they open after the previous month's meeting has ended.
Once registered, you will need to pick up a free book at Northwest Branch Library and start reading. If you have any questions, you can email childrenslibrarian@burbankca.gov.
We will be reading Once Upon a Zombie: Tales for Brave Readers. What is Little Red Zombie carrying in her basket on her way to Grandma's? Are those . . . brains?! What if all the fairytales you know and love were actually zombie-tales? Beware, these stories are only for the bravest of readers! Read about Little Red Zombie, Hansel and Gretel Zombie, and more in this spooky and hilarious early reader!
A book club for kids is one of the best ways to combine learning and fun. Early readers book clubs support the emerging literacy of kids who have graduated from story time and are being introduced to more formal “learn-to-read” techniques in school. This program will introduce kids to awesome books, get them excited about books and reading, and help them develop social skills through interacting with their peers.
Northwest Branch Library
The Northwest Branch Library is located on Victory Boulevard near Hollywood Way, not far from the Hollywood Burbank Airport. It is a one-story building.
