Girls Who Code

A Coding Club for Grades 3 - 5

An 11-week club to develop coding skills!

You're invited to join the Girls Who Code movement!

Girls Who Code Clubs are spaces where students can join a group of supportive peers and use computer science to change the world. Our 3rd-5th Grade Club will read excerpts from Learn to Code and Change the World and The Friendship Code, learn how to code by completing fun and simple online coding tutorials, and build community through interactive club activities.

The Burbank Girls Who Code Club is completely free to join and spans 11-weeks. Attendance is very important, so please be sure you can commit to attending at least nine of the eleven club meetings before registering. Meetings will be at the Northwest Branch every Thursday from 10am-11am (yes, before the library opens!) from June 1 to August 10.

All club members will need a parent/guardian with an active email address present at the first meeting.

Space is limited. Registration is required, and will automatically enroll you on all eleven meetings.

Please register using your child’s name. To register additional children, use the “add more people” button.

Girls Who Code (GWC) is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology and computer science. Their mission is to inspire more girls to become computer scientists and engineers.
