Elementary students can visit activity stations staffed by local teens for an afternoon full of arts, crafts, and STEM!
Kids in Grades K - 5 can explore the creative, artistic, and STEM curious sides of themselves in this after school program. Each month there are four stations with new and different activities staffed by helpful teen volunteers! This month's activities celebrate National STEM Day, which is November 8th!
Engaging in arts, crafts, and STEM activities can improve a child’s fine motor skills and enhance their creative problem-solving abilities. Activities like cutting, gluing, painting, and drawing can help children develop better coordination and dexterity while creating three-dimensional objects can improve visual-spatial skills. Additionally, the unique setup of this program facilitates communication between elementary students and high school students, giving younger students the chance to practice social skills, take turns, and work together with their older peers.
The Burbank Central Library is located at the corner of Glenoaks Boulevard and Olive Avenue in downtown Burbank. It is a two-story building with elevator access.
